For this meeting, ponies can enter on a 12 month Equine Influenza vaccination.
This is not a change in vaccination policy. This has been allowed as the Training Races are being held as a stand alone fixture, 8 days or more before professional racing on the track.
These races will be run after the Exeter Junior Race Day Experience which is a Taster Day open to all who want to find out more about pony racing. The races will be run under Point-to-Point pony racing regulations. If you are not a PRA Member (2023) you will need to join via the website. Once you have done this you then need to register your pony to your account.
Approx distances given – these will be confirmed
Race 1 – For children who have completed a PRA/BRS/NHC Academy Scheme. Race will be run over 4 f. (If enough entries this race will be divided into 148 cm and under and 138 cm and under races)
Race 2 – 138 cm and under. For combinations not to have been placed 1st-4th in a Racecourse Series race, 1st in a Point-to-Point open pony race or 1st -4th in an Open Pony Club race in the last 3 years. Race will be run over 6 furlongs.
Please enter any 128 cm and under ponies into this race. We will run a seperate 128cm race if there are enough entries at this height.
Race 3 – 148 cm and under. For combinations not to have been placed 1st-4th in a Racecourse Series race or 1st in a Point-to-Point open pony race or 1st -4th in an Open Pony Club race in the last 3 years.
Race will be run over 1 m
Races may divide. Maximum 10 runners per race.
