Sandhurst PRA/PC Training & Qualification Day
RESCHEDULED(from Sunday 16th February) due to the UK weather.
We have a very limited number of spaces and are operating a waiting list. Please email mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to join it.
With thanks to the Bandey and Balding families for the use of the magnificent Plantation Farm, RG26 5RP.
and Park House Stables, RG20 5PY.
This is a day of tuition for pony racing which can qualify the combination of pony and rider for Point-to-Point Pony Races and Pony Club Pony Race Days in 2020.
All ponies MUST be microchipped AND be fully vaccinated against Equine Influenza with a booster in the last 6 months before the Training Day (please note that this booster must be more than 6 days before the Training Day which means that if you vaccinate on a Monday, you are not clear to attend a PRA event until the following Monday).
Passports will be checked on arrival at the venue and please be sure to enter your pony using the registered name on their passport.
Ponies that do not comply will not be allowed to take part on the day.
The cost of the day is £30 per pony/jockey combination. We start at 9am and hope to finish by 4pm.
Entries close 1 week before the day or when full. Spaces are limited and early booking is advised.
Please bring a picnic for you, jockey (and pony!). We will move between the 2 venues and logistics will be confirmed nearer the time.
For further information please email email@example.com or telephone 07887 541571.
This day has been rescheduled from Sunday 12th January 2020. Entries will close when full.
The children will take part in a number of different sessions in the morning, to include both riding and non-riding exercises, teaching them about balance and fitness required for pony racing.
If all goes well and they are happy to do so, they will ride on the gallops in the afternoon. If the instructors are satisfied they are safe and in control of their pony, they will be qualified to ride in PRA and Pony Club pony races in 2020.
