The 2019 Novice Riders Series
This is the seventh year of the highly popular “Novice Riders” Race Series which will see 17 qualifying races being staged around the country culminating in a final for each height category (numbers permitting) at the 2019 Point-to-Point Pony Racing Championship Finals which is being hosted at the Exmoor Point-to-Point on Sunday, 2nd June. It’s target audience is for those children who want to have a go but don’t want the pressure of competitiveness from seasoned pony racers. Combinations who have run in a qualifying race in the 2019 season will be eligible to enter and run in the final.
A Novice Riders Championship will be run during 2019 and points will be allocated as follows: 1st: 6 2nd: 4 3rd: 2 4th: 1
The rider with the most points will be presented with their award at the annual PRA awards at the end of the year.
Race 2: This will be divided if there are sufficient entries and if sufficient numbers are received of each height category, it will be divided according to height.
If Entries do NOT exceed the safety factor for the 2nd race and they do for the 1st race (if the organisers so choose) that race may be divided.
Points will be accumulated for the Midlands Area Leading Rider. A trophy will be presented at the Area Awards Presentation. The Championship is open to all riders residing within the Midlands Area.
