Should sufficient entries be received one race may divide.
Ponies may not be led to the start. A hunt escort will be provided.
The East Anglian Area Finals for 138cms & 148cms combinations will be held at the West Norfolk & North Norfolk Fixture on Sunday, 23rd April. All combinations who come under Starters orders will qualify, should a race be oversubscribed, those who have been placed will take priority.
Any 128cms & under combinations coming under starters orders will automatically qualify for the Final which will be held at the Essex & Suffolk Fixture on Friday, 7th April.
The Mark Weatherhead Challenge Trophy will be awarded to the leading rider from the East Anglian Area during the season.
The De La Sayette Challenge Trophy will be awarded to the leading Novice Rider from the East Anglian Area.
(A Novice Rider is someone who has NOT won ANY pony race before the start of the 2023 Point-to-Point Pony racing Season.)
The following points will be awarded for the trophies: 1st: 10, 2nd: 6, 3rd: 4, 4th: 2.
With regard to balloting should a ballot be required, priority with be given in the following order:
1) First time Riders.
2) Those riders who have had the least number of runs
3) Those closest to the venue as per their PRA membership registered post code.
up to a maximum of 10 entries with three reserves being advertised following the deadline.
PLEASE NOTE: COMBINATIONS CAN ONLY BE ENTERED IN ONE RACE ON ANY ONE WEEKEND.
FOR THOSE WITH MORE THAN ONE PONY, IF MAKING ENTRIES FOR MORE THAN ONE RACE AT A FIXTURE, YOU MUST STATE YOUR PREFERRED RACE. SHOULD THE RACES BE OVER SUBSCRIBED YOU WILL ONLY BE PERMITTED TO RIDE IN ONE RACE ON THE DAY.
