BALLOTING
It is our aim that every registered PRA member gets an opportunity of at least one run, more if possible. However due to the significant reduction of fixtures, there is a strong likelihood balloting will be required.
Therefore, for these fixtures, those who were balloted / didn’t get a run at the first three fixtures:
– Gloucester Races
– Essex & Suffolk
– Middleton
will take priority should they make an entry.
Secondly those entering for the first time will take priority and should the races become over subscribed, a ballot will be carried out as per Regulation 28 (ix) i.e. those closest to the venue will take priority.
Finally should space permit for those who have had a run to make an entry but the races then become over subscribed, a ballot will be carried out as per Regulation 28 (ix) i.e. those closest to the venue will take priority.
REGISTRATION TO ATTEND
Those attending will need to register their attendance with the hunt hosting the Point-to-Point. Details of how to register will be sent via email along with the information relevant to the Races, Social Distancing Requirements, Timings and Details of Where to be and When, within 24 hours of the Entries Closing Deadline.
FINALLY
Please remember the Point-to-Point is a compromise being run with a limited resource. Therefore, it is incumbent upon everyone, especially you as competitors to help make it work. A dim view will be taken if anyone is found to be gaming the system and it will jeopardise your opportunity to take part going forward.
It’s down to a lot of work by those behind the scenes and the hunts who have been determined to put the fixtures on that we have been able to provide the opportunity for pony racing, so please show your appreciation by being polite and courteous in the run up to and on the day itself, to all those involved in getting the races off the ground.
Most importantly though when you get the chance of a run – enjoy it.
Information relating to these races will be circulated via email by Lucy Felton.
