PLEASE NOTE: RIDERS CAN’T BE ENTERED AT MORE THAN ONE FIXTURE ON ANY ONE DAY.
FOR THOSE WITH MORE THAN ONE PONY, IF MAKING ENTRIES FOR MORE THAN ONE RACE AT A FIXTURE, YOU MUST STATE YOUR PREFERRED RACE. SHOULD THE RACES BE OVER SUBSCRIBED YOU WILL ONLY BE PERMITTED TO RIDE IN ONE RACE ON THE DAY.
Ponies may not be led to the start. A hunt escort will be provided.
Upcott Cross is a flat oval right-handed course and features longest race of season (148cms) which will start at far end of home straight.
New riders will earn a Devon & Cornwall Area coat on their completion of their THIRD ride in the Area.
The Area Awards are open to those residing in the Devon & Cornwall Area. Points Trophies. Points will be taken from the best eight results. The Synderborough Farm “Rising Stars” Trophy will go to the pony / rider combination who accumulates the highest number of points throughout the season.
The “Allerton Organics Shield” will go to the combination with the highest points throughout the season in the opposite height category to the above.
The “Greatrex” Trophies will be presented to the 2nd & 3rd highest point scoring combinations throughout the season.
The “Alan Walter Horse Transport” Trophy will be awarded to the rider who has shown the most promise throughout the season (i.e. the rider who is deemed to have improved the most and also been the most helpful on racedays).
The Races will take place BEFORE the official PtP Races.
Race 1: 148cms & under Devon & Cornwall Hunt / PC’s OPEN CONDITIONS Race
Conditions: For Combinations who are qualified as per the PRA Regulations, and which have qualified with the following hunts in the Devon & Cornwall Area.
Ponies can’t have won any Pony race.
Confined Hunts: East Cornwall, North Cornwall, Modbury Harriers, Tiverton Foxhounds, South Pool Harriers, Dart Vale & Haldon Harriers, East Devon, Lamerton, South Cornwall, Spooners & West Dartmoor, Silverton, Four Burrow, Dartmoor, Axe Vale, Stevenstone, Eggesford, Dulverton West, Exmoor, South Tetcott, Tiverton Staghounds and the Torrington Farmers.
